Liao graduated from the elite Beijing Academy of Film, major in Film Arts Direction. After a film he art directed won an awards at the Venice Film Festival, he devoted himself to the production of Chinese film and television commercials and directed for 15 years. He was honoured as one of the top 30 Chinese advertising film directors. He has participated in the shooting of international films and TV commercials for many times and has won in severalinternational film awards.

Liao established the TPSS Production Company in 1999 with office in Beijing and Shanghai. He also went further to study at the Southen California Academy of Film and the New York Academy of Film, leading the company to become a first-class TV advertising production company in China.

Liao has served as a film craft jury for the ADFEST and London Advertising Festival.

He is now engaged in film, Internet and other content production field!
