Born and graduated in Hong Kong with a Communication Degree, Jimmy has been working with international and mainland Chinese ad agencies, rising through the ranks from Copywriter to Executive Creative Director, Chairman and CCO. In between he took four years sabbatical to get his fix as TV commercial film director.
Jimmy was the first Hong Kong native to judge the Cannes Film Lions in 1994. Two years on the role, he was jury president of China Great Wall Advertising Creative Festival. In 2015, Jimmy was invited to be Direct Lions jury. In 2016, he was Jury President of the Brand Entertainment & Brand Content categories Crystal International Business in 2015.
He joined LEO Digital Network as Chief Creative Officer on 2016.
