Hanna Maria Heidrich first burst onto the directing scene in 2010 with her environmental campaign “We miss you”, which took the internet by storm. Her intense focus on human nature is underscored by her tightly-structured narratives and visually fascinating images. She loves storytelling and is constantely searching for that magical or humurous film moment. Often touching on the surreal, her grasp of narrative, coupled with a genuine affinity with actors, has led to films of cinematic style, clever editing and an individual handwriting.

Hanna Maria graduated from the renowned German Film Academy Baden-Wuerttemberg and did an in-depth, one-year-course focusing on directing actors at Central Saint Martins College in London. She also received a scholarship for an intensive training program at UCLA in Los Angeles.

Since then she has received more than 40 awards for her commercials and is working internationally.
