Get your entries in before April 1 to make the most of our Early Bird discount.

We don’t yet know what the YDA 2021 ceremony will look like, but we will be going ahead with our awards ceremony in the last week of June, no matter what. Our commitment to nurturing and showcasing young and up and coming talent has not wavered throughout the last 12 challenging months, and whatever 2021 brings, nothing will change that!

This year we are introducing a new category:

NEW FOR 2021: Super Short (up to 1 minute)

With great filmmaking, you don’t need to be shooting a feature film in order to convey nuanced meaning or heightened emotion. With short-form content taking the world by storm this year, we’re opening the doors to this wave of creativity in our brand-new Super-Short category. Whether filmed on a smartphone or with a whole production team, we’re looking for films that push the boundaries of creative storytelling, and show us what can be achieved in just 60 seconds. Films submitted to this category should be under one minute, and may be commissioned, but should prioritise storytelling over branding. This can include content created for social media.

Early Bird deadline is April 1 2021, Main deadline is 14 May 2021.
Late fees will apply after this date.
