B2CD Showcase: Escaping My Office Job

This years Born to Create Drama competition has been hard fought but we are happy to announce the first B2CD film in 2022 to be showcased.

Congratulations to Guy de la Palme for his entry ‘Escaping My Office Job’
A man was born to do more than just sit around in his bureaucratic office job… And somehow, he escapes to do what he was really born for.

Guy says “This is based on a true story : filmed in my apartment, there was indeed a weird smell every time I left my place. And the rest is history..”

 

Last Chance to Enter

For over 15 years, the tagline ‘Born to Create Drama’ has carried the same distinctive message: a simple but effective way of signifying the talented directors we search for and champion.
We want to see films that attest to this innate desire to create. We want a story that shows that this creative drive begins in childhood, and how, eventually, it can lead to the moment where a young talent enters a film into the YDA.

Entries can be anything up to three minutes long, and it is up to you to set the tone; from humorous to scary, exciting to unsettling, sombre to upbeat…as long as it makes us sit up and pay attention.

If entrants are eligible, all showcased entries will be entered into the relevant category in the main competition free of charge. The winner will introduce our ceremony in 2022, and be featured in the prestigious shots magazine.

Born to Create Drama is free to enter and open to everyone, whether you’re a young director or not, whether you’re filming alone with your smartphone, or going traditional and getting a film crew involved… so what are you waiting for?

The closing deadline for ‘Born to Create Drama’ is next week so please hurry if you want to enter.
