Catch Up: Tom Kingsley and Richard Hunter

Tom Kingsley and Richard Hunter were both featured on the YDA blog last year – and since then they’ve been busy boys. Kingsley’s directing star seems to be ascending with a new promo for Guillemots under his belt and Hunter continues to juggle beautiful music videos with insightful mini documentaries.
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=f8debppC9Z0 Tom Kingsley has created a phosphorescent forest in his new promo, The Basket, for Guillemots and innit pretty? We fell in love with Tom’s intelligent, quirky films and promos back in September.

https://vimeo.com/20554921 Richard Hunter first caught our eye when he suspended unsuspecting indie band Good Shoes upside down and showered them in confetti. Art is suffering after all. Now he’s back with a new promo for Chapter 24 – this time the performers are firmly on terra firma. Unrestrained colour, spliced and diced make for a rather beautiful effect. Plus there is something very pleasing about Richard’s micro-documentary Bowie The Teddy Bear Stuffer, which we think you should check out too!
