Meet The Winners: Paul Nevison

Next up in our winners’ interview line-up is Paul Nevison, who’s talking to shots Co-Editor Danny Edwards after winning one Gold Screen and one Silver Screen for his films I Will Dance and The Fisherman at the YDA 2020.

Join us as Paul and Danny chat about searching out a narrative and bringing sensitivity to documentaries, and the joy and catharsis of letting people tell their own stories. We’ll be talking overcoming language barriers, lost equipment and minimal production support, and how it feels to have your work resonate across a YDA jury that spans different cultures and different disciplines in filmmaking.
