Hot Spot: Gaby Ohayon

Gaby Ohayon is a young and fresh French movie maker. He started as an assistant editor for Wizz Post-Production (Paris), he then took the decision to work on his own and make his own movies, mainly short films and music videos.

As he often says, “I like to tell stories”. And as any storyteller, he has his own one or two secrets he accepted to reveal to YDA: self-created universes and key objects insertion…

His first imaginary universe was created for Faceworld, a short movie he wrote and shot about real-life interaction through Facebook gimmicks: a deep dive “into the Y” (in reference to the Y-generation) and the web culture.

This is the style Super Social Jeez appreciated and asked him for this clip. Gaby liked the idea that a “funky-groovy-sound” could help invert the world’s trend and give back some hope to a generation exposed to depression.
