AICP Joins Forces with YDA

The AICP announced today that it is now a premiere supporter of the annual Young Directors Award (YDA) presented each year at the Cannes Festival of Creativity.

Now in its 20th year, the YDA – presented by CFPE and Shots – honors directors who are just entering the advertising arena.AICP, through its Awards program (the AICP Show and the AICP Next Awards) and endeavors such as the Commercial Directors Diversity Program (CDDP), has always supported emerging directorial talent.

AICP teamed up with YDA to signal the importance to the entire industry that a strong pipeline for talent is necessary, especially as the industry continues to evolve.

The YDA Call For Entries is now open, and runs through May 14th. The Showcase will premiere on June 22th in Cannes.  Those entering YDA must submit one of their first four commercials/films in the category entered (i.e. animation, broadcast, etc.).
