SIX THINGS ABOUT… ADAM BERG

For the penultimate day of YDA week, co-editor of shots magazine speaks to Adam Berg.

Director Adam Berg has helmed award-winning films for some of the world’s leading brands and has established himself as one of the industry’s most versatile and genre-defying directors.

Early music promos for bands such as The Cardigans and Reef have been followed by commercials for brands including Audi, Dulux, DHL, IKEA as well as Philips, for which he made the multi-award-winning Carousel.

In this interview Berg discusses how one of the great sci-fi flicks inspired – and continues to inspire – him; how the only on-set arguments during the making of Carousel was around the topic of facial hair; and how a director’s only real job is to protect the core idea.

And, despite the intro to this video stating this is the last Six Things About…, Danny will be back tomorrow with a final interview tomorrow with Iconoclast director, Jenn Nkiru.

Cast your minds back to the beginning of YDA week with interviews with Lenny Abrahamson, Sara Dunlop, and Martin Werner!
