Ambassadors

YDA Ambassadors are long-time allies of the award who actively champion its mission within their professional communities. In close dialogue with the core team, they help strengthen YDA’s global presence by opening doors, creating new connections and introducing partners and collaborators across the industry, while advocating for the discovery of emerging directorial talent.

Their engagement goes beyond advocacy. Out of a shared sense of responsibility for YDA’s future, the ambassadors also initiated the Friends of YDA community in 2025. What began by inviting production companies to stand behind the Award has since grown into a broader industry initiative, welcoming companies, agencies, partners and individuals who share YDA’s values and believe in investing in the next generation of filmmakers.
